Small Risk - Big Reward???

You get what you look for...

That's a common psychological habit... but in trading it can cost you.

By being myopic and only looking for specific short term trades, that's all you see... (heck, that's all I used to see)

When I learned to zoom out and start seeing the bigger picture I was able to trade in a totally different arena...

BUT here's the kicker...

Trading a bigger picture with the fast execution makes for a great opportunity... for one simple reason:

Small risk - Big reward

Intraday trading is the shortest timeframe you can trade. As a result, it also affords the least amount of risk because of your ability to get out of trades quicker than any other timeframe.

The trap most day traders fall into is using the quick execution against themselves by getting caught up in the 'action'.

I know what its like to get swept away with the momentum... when the market starts to move... everyone around you banging at their keyboards trying to get into trades... it makes you just want to jump in and grab hold of anything...

While it definitely gets the adrenaline going, remember, we're playing this game for profit, not fun...

So how do we make consistent profits?

Also, since the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown."
