How I shifted my win/loss ratio from
average to above average...

(It was shortly after I was assigned to trade NYSE stocks...)

I didn't have much time to transition to the specialist system, so I started with what I knew...

I sat down with a stack of my recent trade lists... and started taking note of all my winning and losing trades...

I noted the exceptional wins and losses...

It was during that review I realized a very strange pattern...

On any given day the majority of my winning trades would be slightly biased in one direction, and a majority of my losses would be in the opposite direction...

For example, on some days I'd see of all my winning trades, 55-65% of them would be long trades, while only 35-45% would be short...

And on the losing side, I'd have more losing short trades than long... (for that given day)...

But where things got even more interesting was when I broke those trades into WHEN they occurred...

By looking at the trades that were done in the morning session versus the afternoon session I couldn't believe what I saw...

The breakdown of winning long to short trades was even more pronounced!

What it all meant...
